Moving the mouse on the image

The color of the pixel the mouse is over is illustrated next to the color fields in the third statusbar and its RGB value is displayed in the statusbar on top.

Features of the Left Mouse Button

The Left Mouse Button is used for selecting an area or for painting. Click on "Mode" in the third statusbar to edit the mode, i.e. change the selection or paint method.
If you click on the color fields, the Color window will open. This is used for editing the colors and the line width (size of paintbrush).

Features of the Right Mouse Button

The Right Mouse Button opens a drop down menu if pressed on the image with the following important features:

Assign the color of the pixel the mouse was over when the right button was pressed to any of the colors, e.g. FG Color.
Switch between colors
Make this pixel the pixel at the "Left/Top", "Center" or "Right/Bottom" of the current selection. The selection will be modified accordingly. Attention: The coordinates refer to the rectangular hull of the selection and therefore the pixel might not be within the selction.
